All Square is committed to protecting your privacy. This policy explains how we handle your data when you use our golf scoring app.

The Short Version

We don't sell your data. We don't show you ads. We don't track you. Your golf scores are stored locally on your device and, if you use multiplayer features, synced via Apple's iCloud. That's it.

Information We Collect

Information You Provide

• Profile Information: Your name and optionally your email address for your local profile
• Golf Data: Scores, handicaps, courses played, and game history
• Group Information: Group names, member lists, and standings for leagues you create or join

Automatically Collected Information

• Device Information: Basic device identifiers used by Apple's CloudKit for sync purposes only
• Location Data: Optional GPS data to help find nearby courses (only when you grant permission, never stored on our servers)

How We Use Your Information

• To provide the core app functionality (scoring, handicap calculations, group management)
• To sync your data across your devices via iCloud
• To enable multiplayer features when you join live rounds
• To improve the app based on aggregate, anonymized usage patterns

Data Storage

Local Storage

All your golf data is stored locally on your device using iOS's secure storage mechanisms. This data remains on your device and is included in your device backups.

iCloud Storage

If you use multiplayer features (joining live rounds), your data is synced via Apple's CloudKit service. CloudKit data is:

• Encrypted in transit and at rest
• Stored in Apple's secure data centers
• Associated with your Apple ID
• Subject to Apple's privacy policies and security standards

Third-Party Services

We do not use any third-party analytics, advertising, or tracking services. Our website loads fonts from Google Fonts, which may log limited connection data (such as your IP address) per Google's privacy policy. The only external service our app integrates with is Apple's CloudKit for data sync, which is governed by Apple's privacy policy.

Data Sharing

We do not sell, rent, or share your personal information with third parties, except:

• With other players in your multiplayer rounds (your name and scores)
• With members of groups you join (your name, handicap, and round results)
• If required by law or legal process

Your Rights

You have the right to:

• Access: View all data stored in the app at any time
• Delete: Delete your local data by uninstalling the app
• Delete iCloud Data: Remove your CloudKit data through iOS Settings > [Your Name] > iCloud > Manage Storage
• Export: We're working on a data export feature for a future update

Children's Privacy

All Square is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us.

We may update this privacy policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new policy on this page and updating the "Last updated" date.
